Alan has participated in Schutzhund/IPO since 2004, working with Kaos (Kaos Uma Casa de Mandingo) to earn a SchH2. Though Kaos is now retired, Alan is an enthusiastic coach and teacher who enjoys helping handlers prepare for for competition and bring out the best in their dogs.
Bill is working with Jack (Graf Galan vom Dobereich, CGN, BH), a four-year-old Doberman pinscher who is adept at coming up with new training challenges that test Bill’s neophyte handling skills, not to mention his sense of humour. As Bill discovers more about the sport of Schutzhund, he is coming to view training as an art and to appreciate the importance of nurturing the bond between dog and handler.
Though Dyanne isn’t handling a dog, she is keenly interested in the sport and in the progress of Jack, the Doberman pinscher she co-owns with Bill Williams. She is also an enthusiastic coach, which explains why Bill’s sense of humour is essential.
Mario and his Doberman, Harley (Fonfy Bodyguard, BH), are making great progress as they work toward an IPO1.

Anthony started in dog sports in 2003 with his Rottweiler, Neo, and joined the GSSCC in 2004. In 2006, he became a certified trial helper with the GSSCC, and since then, he has worked several club trials, as well as regionals, Canadian nationals in 2007, 2008 and 2011, and French GSD nationals in 2012. He is also a certified helper with the DVG and SCC (France).
Anthony is currently training Jaeger vom Haus Barkley, a German shepherd dog.
Brad is learning about Schutzhund as he trains his young GSD, Lynx, BH, and his older mixed breed, Jerry, BH. Brad is also learning the ropes of helper work.
Suzy and her two-year old female GSD, Keera (Keera von der Rhineburg, BH), are now training toward an IPO1.
In the late 1980s, Michaela started training her German shepherd, Denny SNB, in the Czech Republic, following the ZVV national program. At the time, IPO was less of a sport than now, and the dog was required to perform in a more natural environment (e.g., search for the helper in the woods, climb ladders, etc.). Michaela and Gandalf vd Schiffslache earned an IPO3 in 2013 but won’t be able to continue protection training because of Gandy’s health issues, so he is now working towards FH titles. Michaela is also training her young female malinois, Cicka (Coca Cola Betkin Dvor).
Karen is putting her experience as a trainer to work as she and Next, a rescued malinois, team up to overcome Next’s issues and learn about the sport of Schutzhund.
Juli is learning about Schutzhund as she trains her young German shepherd, Neeka (Carissima’s Xie), toward a BH — and beyond.
Though Nick is not currently training a dog, he is learning about the sport as he looks forward to bringing a puppy into his life and to starting helper work.
Leigh is training with her GSDs, Luciana von Amalaberg, BH, AD, and Aron vom Altenberger Land, who have already distinguished themselves by winning their classes at the 2012 Québec Regional Championship and Sieger Show.
John recently qualified as an entry-level helper and is looking forward to taking his GSDs, Charlie, BH, and Casey, BH, AD, to the next stage and earning an IPO1. He is also working with Alan and Anthony to help the club dogs reach their potential.
