York Region Schutzhund Club Welcome to York Region Schutzhund Club, located on Woodbine Avenue at Lipani Sod Farm. We are a WUSV Club in the Ontario Region and a member of the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada. Founded in 2008 we are a relatively new club with membership experience from 2 years to 17 years in the sport. Our dogs include Dobermans, German Shepherds and a Bouvier, ranging in age and titles. We train Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as a full day Sunday, completing all three phases of the sport (Tracking, Obedience & Protection) during each training session. The main goal of our club is to prepare our dogs for competition and to support our members in achieving their goals. We also encourage and offer our assistance and support to our neighbouring clubs, attending as many trials and seminars as possible. This is an extreme dog sport that requires many hours of dedication to prepare a dog and handler for competition. There are several trials in our Region that offer the novice handler a better perspective of levels and expectations during competition. No matter what sport you pursue with your dog, the time you spend together should be valued. Announced Guests are always welcome to visit, discuss the sport
