Welcome to York Region Schutzhund Club, located on Woodbine Avenue north of Newmarket. We are a WUSV Club in the Ontario Region and a member of the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada.

Founded in 2008, the club is relatively new, with members whose experience in the sport ranges from a few months to more than 25 years. Our dogs include Dobermans and German shepherds, as well as a black Russian terrier.
In the spring, summer and fall, we train outdoors on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as on Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we usually focus on two of the three phases of the sport, while on Saturdays, we complete all three phases (tracking, obedience and protection).
The main goal of the club is to prepare our dogs for competition and to support our members in achieving their goals. We also encourage and offer help and support to neighbouring clubs, attending as many trials and seminars as possible.
Schutzhund/IPO is an extreme dog sport that requires dedication to prepare a dog and handler for competition. Attending trials and seminars offers novice handlers an excellent perspective on the sport and on the skills required to compete effectively. No matter what sport you pursue with your
dog, the time you spend together should be valued.
Guests are welcome to visit, discuss the sport and take part in a training session. But please contact the club first. Click here for contact information.
Our field is located at 21774 Woodbine Ave., East Gwillimbury, Ontario (near Queensville). Click here for directions.
